IconMaker Version 2.04 FREE
===========================
IconMaker is an application for creating and manipulating 
icons. Version 2 adds a significant number of new features and 
capabilities. See the product overview and features list below.

IconMaker was withdrawn in 1997 because of lack of market.  
I have finally gotten around to releasing it for FREE.  This is 
a fully enable version.  If you are using an early release or
a demo version please upgrade to this version.  There will 
be no support and no further versions.


PRODUCT OVERVIEW
================

The IconMaker application gives you all the tools you need to 
create and install your own icons.  Personalize your home 
folders with fun informative icons.  Use IconMaker to create 
quality professional icons for custom applications.  

NeXTWORLD Magazine gave IconMaker a "Four Cube Rating" 
stating:

   "...BlueSky has provided tools that are specifically 
    designed for quickly gaining access to, and editing icons.

   "...[with additions] IconMaker could be the icon editor 
   NEXTSTEP has needed since its inception. "

All of the suggestions and more have incorporated into 
IconMaker to bring to you a program that's sturdy, fast, 
friendly and complete.


FEATURES
========

Large highly magnified drawing window - 
   Gives you the precision and detail needed for creating 
   quality icons.

Grid and background control - 
   Place the grid over the image, under the image or turn it 
   off.  Switch the background from normal gray to highlighted 
   white.

Icon Viewer - 
   View the icons in there normal unmagnified size.

Tool Inspector - 
   See what mark the tool will make before you use it.

Multiple undo levels - 
   Undo up to the last ten changes you made.

Full set of drawing tools - 
   Pencil, line, circle, square, button (eight styles), text, 
   eraser, stamper, fill, selection.

Superior Text tool - 
   Easily and exactly, add text to your icons.

Extensible Stamper tool - 
   Stamp common images onto your icons. Extend it with your 
   own images.

Gradation tool - 
   Select two colors and it will fill an area with a gradation
   between the two colors.  There are 6 different styles of 
   gradations from which to choose.

Icon Importer - 
   Create an icon from an existing image. Scale the image 
   down to icon size or crop out an icon sized piece from 
   the original or scaled image.

Image Filtering Services - 
   IconMaker uses user-installed image filter services for 
   converting unsupported image file types. (Works with 
   ImageViewer, McFilter etc. for importing GIF, JPEG, etc.)

Folder Icon Installer - 
   The simplest way to install an icon as a Folder or Open 
   Folder icon.

Image Combiner - 
   Combine images together using the full power of the 
   Composite and Dissolve operators.

Effects Tools -  
   Nudge, Flip, Scale, Rotate, and Gradation.

Icon Browser -  
   Display all the icons in a folder at one time.  Works even 
   with "hidden" folders and application wrappers.

Multiple Image tool - 
   Create and manipulate icons that contain multiple
   representations of an image.

Grab Service enabled - 
   Import an image using Grab from the Services menu.
